On-Stage Interview:
The first question will be a warm-up question and the second one will be scored.

Cultural Spirit:
Each contestant is to wear a cultural costume that describes her country. For example, Mexican pageant represents the flag of Mexico. The contestants’ thematic cultural costume should be compatible.  Props left on the stage are not allowed in this competition.  The contestants will display the cultural costumes they are dressed in and they will not make any comments about them.  The master and mistress of ceremonies will explain the three points of the contestants’ cultural costumes before each contestant displays them.  This category will be judged in the final pageant.

Talent:
Individual must be able to present her routine of performance within three minutes.  Points will be deducted if the talent presentation runs beyond the three minute limit.  Contestants must furnish any props needed for their performance.  If a tape or a CD is to be used, the contestant should bring an extra one in case of damage. This category will be judged in the final pageant.

Eligibility:

to be eligible to compete in the Latina Pageant:

  1. Each contestant must be Latina.
  2. Each contestant must be a deaf or hard of hearing person who is age of 15-30 years & unmarried.
  3. Each contestant should have fluent receptive and expressive sign communication skills (e.g. American Sign Language).
